About a week ago I received a few polishes by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. Today, I’m bringing you a review as well as swatches of three of the colours I have received.
Let’s start off with the brush. I love, love, LOVE this brush. I can’t get enough of the bigger, wide yet flat brushes as it gives you that amazing cuticle line, and coats your entire nail in one go (for some).
Take a look!
And now, the swatches…
Back to the Fuchsia: Gorgeous pink polish with purple microshimmer. Two coats applied to get it fully opaque.
Right Said Red: Deep cream-like red. Three coats applied, but still sheer (you can see the nail line).
Choco-Latte: A lovely nude colour. Three coats applied to get it fully opaque.
Overall: What I love about the Complete Salon Manicure is that they dry fast, and leave a gorgeous shine. No top coat was applied for any of the photos above. As mentioned previously, the flat tapered brush helps you achieve a professional looking manicure without going to a nail salon. In terms of formula, I was very impressed with Back to the Fuchsia. Seeing that gorgeous polish with shimmer in the bottle, I expected it to be sheer. I’m glad I was wrong about that. Right Said Red is my least favourite from the three. I’m not a huge fan of the nail line showing as it just doesn’t look complete in my personal opinion. And last but not least, Choco-Latte. Super pretty nude colour that you can wear on a day-to-day basis. Although others may be, I was not disappointed in the formula. Yes, it did take three coats to get it opaque, but then again, nude colours usually require three or more coats anyway.
