Earlier this year, Sonia Kashuk launched fourteen lipsticks in the Satin Luxe Lip Colour with SPF 16 Sunscreen line.

The purpose of this “weightless” lip colour is to smoothen, soften, protect and hydrate lips, while still giving you the rich colour and moisture you crave. This lip colour by Sonia Kashuk is anti-aging, with Ceramide 2 and Palmitoyl Peptide, which help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles.

Today I am bringing you swatches and a review of two shades - Currant, a deep plum brown, and Soft Nude, a muted peachy beige.

As for the packaging, they come in super cute square tubes that are easy to organize side by side, with the colour of the lip colour being featured in the cap. That alone is great, because no longer do you have to open up the packaging in order to see what colour you will be getting. First opening these up, you get the surprise of seeing “SK” embedded on the top of the lipstick, which is adorable yet classy.

As for the quality, they apply on smoothly and last you a couple of hours throughout the day. I personally am not huge on lip colours, but with this, the term “weightless” really defines them. It feels like you have nothing on your lips, when in fact, you have this gorgeous pop of colour brightening them up.

Overall: I really do adore these lipsticks, and even better is that they have SPF 16. Not only are you protecting your lips, as you are just going by your day with a gorgeous colour on your lips. I would highly recommend these whether you are a lipstick junkie, or someone who is just starting to branch out into the lipstick world. They are extremely moisturizing, with a great texture to them, and for a lipstick, that is hard to find.
