Finding the perfect mascara isn’t so easy to do for us girls. From personal experience, I’ve gone through many different brands that state that the mascara will “lengthen” or “volumize lashes,” and although it may somewhat do just that, it’s not to the point where I’m wowed.

If you’re like me and tend to layer two different mascaras on top of each other to get that false lashes look, I now have something that may make you a little happy. ‘A little’ being an understatement…

Recently, I have been sent Avon’s Super Drama Mascara in Black to try out. This mascara is meant to “deliver dramatic volume and stunning length to make eyes look 20% larger.”

First and foremost, the fan brush. It holds a great amount of mascara, which results in bold lashes with 1-2 sweeps. The bristles feel gentle amongst your lashes, especially by the waterline, which is great for those with sensitive eyes. Impressive brush head, that coats lashes with product evenly. For best results, you want to start from root to tip.

In terms of formula, it is a little bit on the thicker-creamy side, but easy to apply. You can get away with one coat of this mascara, but I applied two.

As for application, mascaras sometimes cause your lashes to droop a little, even after curling them. In the photos below, I did not curl my lashes, so what you see is all this mascara, and this mascara alone. No signs of drooping whatsoever.

Let’s get to my results using Avon’s Super Drama Mascara.

Overall: As you can tell by the results, this mascara works wonders. Now I understand why they called it “Super Drama” mascara. This mascara really does give your lashes a clump-free, full and even look, which is all I’ve ever asked for in any mascara. What’s even greater is the fact that it doesn’t have to smell horrible in order to do that. All in all, great mascara.
