Friday Favourites ;; Mascara (Rimmel & Maybelline)

Some may say chocolate is their guilty pleasure, while others say it’s drowning your sorrows in movies.

For me, it’s neither of those.

My guilty pleasure is mascara.

I tend to switch between mascaras often, but I recently got myself to stick to a few and see how it goes.

The two mascaras i’m currently using is Rimmel’s SCANDALEYES and Maybelline’s Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara.

When it comes to mascara, I tend to use two different ones on top of each other, as it gives you the effect of false lashes.

What I love about these mascaras is that neither one has a strong smell to it. I can’t stand it when you have that one mascara that has such a strong smell that you have trouble even applying it.

Applying both of these on top of each other – I get insanely great long and volumized eyelashes.

On the other hand, if I use each one separately, I don’t get such great results out of Rimmel’s SCANDALEYES. It doesn’t last long and doesn’t do a great job at volumizing or lengthening the lashes.

With Maybelline’s Pulse Perfection Vibrating Mascara, I get good results. Maybe it’s the fact that it vibrates – or the bristles, but either way, I would definitely use this mascara on its own. It separates my lashes and lengthens them.

In the end, no matter what mascara you use, you want to start at the roots of your lashes, and slowly move the wand upwards.

What’s your guilty pleasure?

  1. Have you tried falsies?? I’m not usually a fan of maybelline, but I like that mascara. Also Too Faced’s better than false lashes is unreal! You’d like it because of the system!
