Sally Hansen Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Colour (Swatches and Review)

Good morning everyone,

Hope you’re all having a great week so far.

Today’s post is a review of Sally Hansen’s line, Insta-Dri Fast Dry Nail Colour, along with swatches.

  • Mint Sprint – Mint Green Cream
  • Blue-Away – Baby Blue Cream
  • Lightening – Popping Yellow Cream

Mint Sprint

  • Dries in 60 seconds
  • Colour goes on smoothly
  • Covers your nail in one coat

I applied three coats to achieve the results in the photos above. Although I fell in love with the colours, I found the formula a bit difficult to work with. I had to apply three coats to avoid streakiness. I love that these polishes have a wider brush, reason being that you may coat your entire nail in one stroke, but the fact that the polish is on the thicker side defeats the purpose for me.

As for “Insta-Dri,” Sally Hansen definitely stood true to that. The formula may be difficult to work with, but the fact that your nails dry super fast kind of makes up for it. You can actually apply a few layers of this polish without having to wait half an hour to an hour for your nails to dry.

This may not be on top of my list for favourite polishes, but I would definitely still wear it on my nails here and there. Yeah, the formula may have been a pain to work with, but I really do love these colours, especially now, for summer.

I would love to hear what you think about these colours, as well as the Insta-Dri line by Sally Hansen.

  1. I used to have some insta-dri polishes, I also found the formula thick, gloopy and kinda hard to work with. I would probably put up with it for those colours though, I love that green!

  2. I don’t really ever use these to paint my nails, but I always use them for stamping. The formula is perfect for that and I so far haven’t had any trouble with them drying up too soon but if they do, I’d just add a little thinner. I have like 12 insta-dris for stamping but none of which are that baby blue! I think I need to go to Rite Aid and pick it up!! :)
