Lately, Sally Hansen polishes in certain lines have been ranking amongst my top favourite brands. They’re cheap and affordable, with great outcome results. Recently, I’ve given the Sally Hansen Diamond Strength ‘No Chip’ Nail Colour a try, and I have to say that I am pleased with it.
First, let’s start off with the swatches of the following colours:
Sweetie Pie – Pink creme, similar to bubblegum. Applied two coats for full opacity.
Something New – Gorgeous cherry colour. Applied three coats, but still a little bit of nail line showing.
Fuchsia Bling Bling – Name says it all (fuchsia). This colour somewhat reminds me of grapes. Two coats applied.
Stay tuned for a review at the end…
Overall: When companies say that they’ve changed the formula of their polishes, it tends to be ignored. I’ve used this line before, and I’m using it now, and let me say that Sally Hansen really did mean it when they said that this polish is now new and improved. It went on smoothly, and was easy to work with – not too thick, nor too thin. The brush was perfect in a sense that it was a little bit on the wider and flatter side. The colours really are vibrant, as you can tell from the swatches above. Most colours do apply fully opaque within two coats, unless they’re meant to have the jelly look. All in all, I am impressed with this line by Sally Hansen.
Pricing: $4.00 – $5.00
